This is a favorite Mary Quant design of mine, I purchased this dress in America, it’s originally from her Young Designer collection at J C Penney. Its a fabulous dress with really simple details to make it the perfect cashmere vintage dress. This dress is part of her first collection to America and has that wonderful woven daisy motif label.

Over the past few years the vintage clothes market seems to have exploded mostly due to the influence of Designers and Celebrity wears and collectors. Especially the British Cool designers of the 60’s and 70’s like Ossie Clark .

The rebirth of vintage labels such as Biba and Ossie Clark could also be a reason, as these amazing vintage boutiques and designers have become widespread mainstream fashion names for the present era, with high street names like Top Shop dabbling in the vintage clothes market. Their highly sort after designer collections using 70’s designers Celia Birtwell, Zandra Rhodes and Barbara Hulanicki also hit the high street over the past decade

This has created a boom in online shops with new vintage boutiques opening very day, the competition for what is now a huge online market growing more ferocious. The choice for the consumer is vast with fanastic eBay stores offereing peace of mind and a feedback system which allow you to see just what other people thought when they bought. There are some amazing vintage clothes dealers on eBay who are proud of the quality and choice they offer. Lots of the best dealers on eBay have vintage stores, be it online or in the high street and offer expertise and the best value for money.
